ETDC seminar on laboratory management system standard

Panaji, April 4: The Electronics Test & Development Center (ETDC) is organizing a two-day seminar on ISO 17025:2005 Laboratory Management System Standard on April 17 and 18. ISO 17025 is internationally very widely used standard. It talks about the general requirements for competency of testing and calibration laboratories. This standard has been revised in the year 2005. All calibration or testing (chemical, pathological etc) laboratories should obtain accreditation as per ISO 17025:2005. In India NABL is the only body which provides accreditation based on peer review. This course will explain the requirements of ISO 17025. Also it will provide highlights on the requirements of documentation, participation in proficiency testing and uncertainty calculation. This training will be beneficial to those organizations that are interested to implement ISO 17025:2005 in their organization or interested to know the requirement of best practices and competency of calibration and testing laboratories.
